Today Lahiru Weerasekara and five others were arrested
Lahiru Weerasekara and five others were arrested by Police after a press conference in Maradana, earlier.
Lahiru Weerasekera arrested over the incident in which university students forcibly entered the Ministry of Health, and two others have been remanded till the 5th of July.
The order was issued when Lahiru Weerasekera was produced before the Magistrate Dulani S Weerathunga, following his arrest.
An assessment report conducted following the incident at the ministry, found the students had caused damages amounting to 870,000 rupees.
