Yemeni Man Executed For Rape And Murder Of 3 Year Old Girl
Mohamed al-Magriby, convicted of raping and killing a three-year-old child, was shot in a public square in central Sana'a , the capital of Yemen. This is the first execution carried out in the city since 2009.
The man was convicted of raping and murdering Rana Yehia al Matary on June 27, after being kidnapped on the street. Yesterday he was tied, lying on the ground and fired eight times in the head by a policeman in Al-Tahrir Square, as thousands of Yemeni gathered to see him applauded, including the relatives of the raped girl.
The execution was carried out before thousands of people who gathered in the center of Saná to see how the authorities "did justice" for the small.
