Time was come to make captaincy change

Angelo Mathews relinquished Sri Lanka captaincy in all three formats after the team lost to Zimbabwe in the recently concluded One Day International series.
Mathews, who called the defeat "one of the lowest points" of his career and said in its aftermath that he would discuss his captaincy future with the SLC selectors, conveyed his decision to the selectors on Tuesday.
Zimbabwe edged out Sri Lanka by three wickets in the fifth ODI on Monday to clinch their first overseas triumph in eight years.
Mathews has led Sri Lanka in 34 Tests, 98 ODIs and 12 T20Is, having taken the reins at the age of 25, in 2013.
Speaking at a media briefing this morning Mathews said his stint has seen ups and downs but indicated that the time was apt to make a change in captaincy.
