Gun Fire at STF Jeep in Kurana And 4 Suspect Arrested
Two individuals have sustained injuries in a gun battle that broke out in Negombo between officers of the Police Special Task Force and a group of individuals travelling in a vehicle with a stock of firearms.
Four suspects from the gang have been arrested
They were admitted to the Seeduwa Hospital and later transferred to Ragama Hospital. One of then is reportedly in critical condition.
Accordingly two suspects and the van used for transportation have been taken into police custody.
Two T-6 firearms were found in the van during the incident. Investigations are currently underway.
Police said that none of the STF personnel in the jeep were injured in the shooting.
