Arrest warrant issue for Ryan and four others
Arrest warrants have been issued on the Convener of the Medical Faculty Students Action Committee, Ryan Jayalath and 4 others for not being present in Court.
The order was issued by Colombo Fort Magistrate Lanka Jayaratne.
The group is charged with failing to appear before Court on charges of engaging in a protest that inconvenienced the public.
Ryan Jayalath was issued an arrest warrant for forcibly entering the Ministry of Health on June 21 and for damaging public property.
